Yummy Hawaiian Chili

Yup...That is pineapple with chili powder sprinkled on.
She scarfed them down.
My mom clipped this easy dish out of the Arizona Republic over a year ago. I think this is the first time we tried or the second. Either way, it was yummy.

1 14 oz can sliced pineapple (drain the juice or put it in)
1 lb of ground pork
1 can kidney beans (drained)
1 16 0z salsa (we used black bean and corn salsa) Next time...Im going to find a pineapple salsa.
1 8 oz can of tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon of chili powder.

Drain pineapple or not. Set aside half of the the slices and chop the rest. Brown the pork over med heat. Pour off grease. Add beans, chopped pineapple, salsa, tomato sauce and chili powder. Bring to boil, and reduce heat to med low. Simmer 10 minutes. Serve garnished with pineapple slices sprinkled with extra chili powder. Makes 6 servings. 335 calories..
