These are for members of my husband's family. (they are never on the computer by the way, I think)) . They had scripture tote bags for the super saturday made from a placemat and a napkin. Not sure why I paid 8.00 dollars for a placemat, some material, and some rick rack. I think it would have costed maybe $4.00 the least. Anyways, I have one more to make. I will post a picture of that one later.   I bought some silk flowers from Porters and glued them to cover some of my stitching. It probably took me 15 minutes to do this whole project. I am going to make my daughter one for her dance shoes. Very easy to make. Kind of impressed with myself as I am not a good seamstress.

 We don't really have a style. We just like to have a good time together as a family!! Lyndee was batgirl, Brayden was black spiderman, and Clayton was a phantom. I forgot to get a picture of the phantom but HE will come out again next year. We decided not to go the neighborhood that we always go to..Big mistake! I did not have a really good time and Brayden and Lyndee whined and whined about walking so next time we will stick to our original route. Oh..we had about 15 trick or treaters..Maybe I will get more next year! Anyways, the kids had a blast getting their goodies and of course eating them!!

Okay...here is a sneak peek of what my little ones will be for Halloween. We have two super heroes. Brayd wanted to be black spiderman and Lyndee will be bat girl..I told Brayden that Spiderman is retiring and that he will need to be something different. Well, we'll see...until then Pheww! Watch out for that web!

These rogue cowboys were shooting their guns in the air. Really loud..Got the kids attention. Woo hoo! An Osmond. Loved seeing the missionaries walk down the street singing the Battle Hymn of Republic. We headed to Ogden for Pioneer Day. We all went to the parade down Washington. Very long parade and really hot. The kids were bored. They loved that we were able to set off fireworks again this month. We even went to watch them from someone's house on the hill. What an awesome view! Sorry did not take pictures of that.

For my Arizona friends and family, you can see what a small town I live in now....Anyways, Rigby had their first annual bed races. This was to raise money for the library, I think. They had a pancake breakfast that we slept in and missed. The races were at 10. Yup, we were up by then. They had 5 to a team (four pushed and one rode on the actual bed). At midway, they did a chinese firedrill and continued to the end. Some people brought water balloons and threw it at them. I thought it was kind of funny and one missed the beds and almost hit Clayton..(hee hee) We will go next year. It would have been cooler if there were more beds. Hopefully, it will be a bigger event next year.

We were thinking of not attending church on Father's Day because Lyn had a some type of reaction in her eyes and one of them was really irritated. We fed her Claritin and did allergy drops in her eyes and if she looked fine we would go to church. Well, we went to church. Then on the way, I said let's forget the whole man dinner and just go and have a picnic up Kelly Canyon. We looked toward the mountains and omninous clouds were tempting to pour rain. So we kept on with our original plan. We had Clay's man meal: country fried steak (not really fried) with "real" mashed potatoes and milk gravy. Then I whipped up some chewy bars. I told Clay that we were going to hold family home evening tonight so we used the FHE packet that Amy made. I had Clay put on the tie...SO cute!! (We didn't use it last year because well I forgot all about it)

I have to sneak a picture of my dad helping the kids dye their Easter eggs. And they are off! Wow! There was even one on the trampoline. Clayton had to help Lyndee find them and Brayden..well he was on his own. They had such a good time searching for their eggs and wanted me to hide them again for them.

We went to the huge Ann Morrison Park in Boise for an Easter Egg Hunt. Needless to say the kids and I were kind of bummed that it was an Easter "candy" hunt. We ditched it as the kiddos don't need all that candy. So we went back to our hotel room to get ready for a drive to the mall.

Sorry this is my lazy way of posting pics of the kids unwrapping their presents. The night before Brayden made sure the reindeer had food outside waiting for them. He was so excited. Then he made sure Santa had cookies (we made them..see post below)and milk. Then it toooook himmm foreevver to fall asleep as he was so excited. Funny story...like a dork I shoved all of their presents in my closet on the floor with a couple unwrapped from Santa. When I was doing my hair, they got into it. They never go into my closet because the door sticks. So...Brayden comes to me with one of his presents and Lyndee took hers and hid with them under her bed to check them out. My mom put both of them in time out as I was upset with my stupidity. I then removed all presents and put them in the unfinished part of the basement in a corner. When Brayd got out of time out, he went and checked out the closet. He did not mention it at all. He did not know what to think of it until Christmas morning. I did wrap ...

I made some aprons out of tea towels for my kids and my nephew. Then I let them open them on Christmas Eve so they could help make sugar cookies for Santa. I warn that I am not a professional sewing person. Lyndee's is too big and Brayden's is too long. But they will grow into them. I do not know if this will be a tradition to do on Christmas Eve but it was sure fun and delicious. Thank you, Keisha for bringing us the mix. They were sure a hit.

I saw this on the internet and almost peed my pants laughing. Let me tell you this is exactly how I feel this year. How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads: You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top. I was having my students write what they were thankful for. I thought I would write a couple things that I am very thankful for. 1. Church membership. I have been officially a member since I was 18. It means so much to me that I am able to have the freedom to practice any religion that I want. 2. My family. I love my husband and my two munchkins. I am so thankful that we were sealed in the temple . 3. My pets. My pups are my family, too. They let me know when someone is outside and they are always faithful to me. Studies show that you can relax more when you pet and hug your animals. It works when I am feeling down or stressed. 4. My house. I love my home and I am thankful that we have a roof over our heads to shelter to us from the world. 5. My friends. I am very thankful for those that I can call my friends whether they be work, church, or just plain friends. 6. My recliner. I thank you for making me comfy after a day's work, surfin the internet, or watching T.V. with my fa...

Today is National Adoption Day. Our son came into our lives when he was just a month old. He had RSV and was really sick. Our first time visiting Brayden was when he was on NICU. He was so tiny and I knew he was mine. Lyndee was 6 months when she came into our lives. Her bio mom abandoned her in a crisis enter so she could come clean but never came back. When we went to visit her, she was so happy and bouncy. We knew that she was ours as she looked just like Clayton's baby pictures. I am so thankful for the adoptions of my two little ones. They are so precious to our family. We have been toying with the idea of adopting again. Heavenly Father has truly blessed us. I am so proud and thankful to be a mom to these two munchkins.

The start of the trick or treatin' fun You can't catch me! Neener Neener Neener! I'm ready to go home! We live in a fairly new subdivision. Not all the houses are built yet. The houses are too far spread apart as we are all on acre lots. We trick or treated in our subdivision. Then we drove two miles to my friend Shannon's neighborhood and let the kids loose (not too loose). We walked and the kids stopped at almost every house. We did confiscate their buckets. Clay and I picked out our favorite chocolate pieces when they weren't looking. The remaining stash will soon disappear to my classroom jar. Lyndee did not know who daddy was. (Just kidding, Clay)She was entranced by that handsome fellow on the right...I mean the left. Sorry, Clay.

My little man insisted on watching the Peanuts Christmas. At the end of the movie, they were singing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. It totally brought me back to 1st ward in Eagar, AZ. I was not a member of the LDS church yet but I went on the Young Women activities with my best bud, Bobbie. I especially loved the combined activities because we were alittle boy crazy (okay, alot). Anyways, we went Christmas caroling on a back of semi-trailer sitting on hay bales freezing our bums off throughout our ward. It was the best! I really loved going out and singing Christmas carols down the street. Even though I was investigating the church, activities like that made me feel without a doubt the holy spirit. I always try to recapture the way I felt when I first investigated the church. That is when I felt most intuned with the Lord and the spirit. I have yet to do that here in Idaho. But I am trying....

T he kids love holding the sparklers and waving them. I really love fireworks! We love that we live here in Idaho and get to light fireworks. It is a luxury for us since we could not light them in Arizona. My brother and his family were up here for the 4th. We had a good time with them and we did not even have a brotherly/sisterly fight. We must be growing up. Next year, we would like to go and do more festivities. We took everyone to Menan for the fireworks show. I think they are really nice ones. Heck, it beats sitting in 105 degree temps watching the fireworks. That is something that we do not miss from AZ. Even though Idaho Falls is supposed to have the best fireworks west of the Mississippi, we have yet to brave sitting in the sun for 5 years I mean hours waiting for them. I have no patience especially when it comes to keeping Lyndee and Brayden out of everyone's way.
