Random Easter Pictures

Image
We had a little Easter egg hunt at my brother's house. Then later in the day, we had Easter dinner at my house and another little Easter egg hunt.  Here is my pride and joy, the yummy dessert. It was lemon sponge pudding. Each person had their own made in an individual custard cup. Looks great, eh? My dad, brother, his wife, and kids decided to have an impromptu snow ball fight with the left over snow. Me..that is a picture take from inside the house away from them.

Thanksgiving...

Image
I have a lot to be thankful for these days. One of the things that I am especially thankful for my two kids. They remind me everyday that prayer works. I prayed so hard for these little angels. I love how they are so much like a real brother and sister. They really lighten my life.  One of my favorite things that I learned how to make is apple pie. I learned this from one of my college roomies. I still make it every Christmas and Thanksgiving. The best time to eat though is for breakfast with some milk. Yum! Lyndee is always my little helper. We have a great time baking and cooking. We talk about things and I show her how to do certain things. I know that as she gets older this will be a treat for both of us.  Brayden helped Lyndee and me stack the apples in the pie crust. Then we rolled it out together. We even put a dough apple on the top.

CHRISTmas day presents.

The tree after SANTA'S arrival.    My little man tore thru everything in less than 14 minutes. He was so excited to receive a Leapster. He wanted a DS but I told him that he does not know how to read yet and "Santa" knows that. He's been playing with that periodically thru the day. He was so happy and it was great to see the excitement on his face when I told him that Santa ate the cookies. So cute!! Sister Girl is such a darling. She has really learned how to rip thru those packages as well stopping to see what her brother has received. She received all that she wanted. She too received a Leapster. She loved that thing and drained the batteries on it already. She played with everything today and kept busy with her brother. I love Christmas vacation. The kids were exceptionally good today even though they were hyped up on all the sugar from their stocking. Now, we can relax next week and they can play with their loot all day long.

Christmas Eve

Image
We had a nice Christmas eve. Husband read out of the Bible about the birth of Jesus. Our son had a sticker sheet of wisemen, baby Jesus, the stable, and Mary and Joseph. As dad read, we put the stickers on construction paper and discussed the birth and how the wise men brought gifts to the new baby Jesus. We then told them why we have gifts at Christmas time. I think they understood pretty good. Then we let them open one gift on Christmas eve. New Jammies!!! Then we fed the reindeer with our special reindeer food. We placed cookies (decorated by the kids) and milk out for Santa.I heard they were yummy. Then we snuggled down in the basement and watched the Polar Express. We've seen it many times but it is so heartwarming to hear my son sing the words to some of the songs. What a nice way we spend our evening!

Christmas present

Image
These are for members of my husband's family. (they are never on the computer by the way, I think)) . They had scripture tote bags for the super saturday made from a placemat and a napkin. Not sure why I paid 8.00 dollars for a placemat, some material, and some rick rack. I think it would have costed maybe $4.00 the least. Anyways, I have one more to make. I will post a picture of that one later.   I bought some silk flowers from Porters and glued them to cover some of my stitching. It probably took me 15 minutes to do this whole project. I am going to make my daughter one for her dance shoes. Very easy to make. Kind of impressed with myself as I am not a good seamstress.

Halloween Ingram Style

Image
We don't really have a style. We just like to have a good time together as a family!! Lyndee was batgirl, Brayden was black spiderman, and Clayton was a phantom. I forgot to get a picture of the phantom but HE will come out again next year. We decided not to go the neighborhood that we always go to..Big mistake! I did not have a really good time and Brayden and Lyndee whined and whined about walking so next time we will stick to our original route. Oh..we had about 15 trick or treaters..Maybe I will get more next year! Anyways, the kids had a blast getting their goodies and of course eating them!!

Get out the costumes!

Okay...here is a sneak peek of what my little ones will be for Halloween. We have two super heroes. Brayd wanted to be black spiderman and Lyndee will be bat girl..I told Brayden that Spiderman is retiring and that he will need to be something different. Well, we'll see...until then Pheww! Watch out for that web!

Pioneer Day Parade in Ogden

Image
These rogue cowboys were shooting their guns in the air. Really loud..Got the kids attention. Woo hoo! An Osmond. Loved seeing the missionaries walk down the street singing the Battle Hymn of Republic. We headed to Ogden for Pioneer Day. We all went to the parade down Washington. Very long parade and really hot. The kids were bored. They loved that we were able to set off fireworks again this month. We even went to watch them from someone's house on the hill. What an awesome view! Sorry did not take pictures of that.

Rigby Bed Races

Image
For my Arizona friends and family, you can see what a small town I live in now....Anyways, Rigby had their first annual bed races. This was to raise money for the library, I think. They had a pancake breakfast that we slept in and missed. The races were at 10. Yup, we were up by then. They had 5 to a team (four pushed and one rode on the actual bed). At midway, they did a chinese firedrill and continued to the end. Some people brought water balloons and threw it at them. I thought it was kind of funny and one missed the beds and almost hit Clayton..(hee hee) We will go next year. It would have been cooler if there were more beds. Hopefully, it will be a bigger event next year.

FathEr'S daY

We were thinking of not attending church on Father's Day because Lyn had a some type of reaction in her eyes and one of them was really irritated. We fed her Claritin and did allergy drops in her eyes and if she looked fine we would go to church. Well, we went to church. Then on the way, I said let's forget the whole man dinner and just go and have a picnic up Kelly Canyon. We looked toward the mountains and omninous clouds were tempting to pour rain. So we kept on with our original plan. We had Clay's man meal: country fried steak (not really fried) with "real" mashed potatoes and milk gravy. Then I whipped up some chewy bars. I told Clay that we were going to hold family home evening tonight so we used the FHE packet that Amy made. I had Clay put on the tie...SO cute!! (We didn't use it last year because well I forgot all about it)
