Football season is on the way for Brayd



I am indifferent about this football stuff this year. Brayden dazzled us in soccer and was super aggressive to get the ball.  The coach was awesome... But here..I don't know if it is the kids on the team, the coaches that give their sons the plays like last year but that coach learned mid season to give the other kids plays, or maybe it's just me...but I am going to need to learn to bite my tongue a lot for the next 7 games.  The kids are not passing to him when he is open. The other kid tells the quarterback to make sure he throws the ball to him. Then the lil quarterback tells him that he will. It ya know angers me to the bone and my mama bear claws come out.

I don't know what to do. I want equal ball time for all the kids not just my son but for the younger ones too.Okay..I know this is what I did...I was fuming so I texted the coach and asked if there was a reason why my son had the ball only once.  I know that there are a lot more plays and it sounds like coaches son preferential treatment. It felt so good sending it but now...not so good. So...we will see where it gets Brayden. I know this was just a scrimmage but I do not want to go through the whole season watching these three boys that have their daddies running the plays for them.

Update! Well, Brayd's first game was soo much better than the scrimmage. Different boys had access to the ball. Maybe I wasn't the only one that complained. :))) Oh, and Brayden scored a touchdown too!

Busy week

Sorry no pictures. I have been so busy this week to a point where I am sure to have a nervous breakdown. First, I have a student teacher in my room over the next 10 weeks. I thought it would be a welcome relief to give her things to teach but I am more exhausted and it is tiring work. Then grades had to be put in and it was down over the Christmas break so I had a huge pile to get in. Parent teacher conferences were on Thursday. I didn't meet with alot. I met with most of my students'  parents. The one that I wanted to talk to of course didn't show. My own children are doing great in class. Brayden is started to read more and more each day. He is reading near the end of his grade level. Lyndee knows all of her alphabet and sounds. They finally let her check out a library book. Yippee! Day 5 -- Vacation

On Wednesday, our last day in the land of the heat. We went to the Mesa Southwest Museum. I guess it is call the Museum of Natural History. In all my years living in the valley and in Eagar, we never went to this museum. It rocked! I wished that I could take my students there. This room was all black with flourescent lighting. The kids could write on those white board with light wands. Whatever the kids wrote would be gone in about 20-30 seconds. It was pretty cool. I loved the interactive the stuff. I have been wanting to do this for years with my classroom. I have wanted them to create their plays. Then act them out in front of a green screen and then use a computer program to put their scenery in. I think I am going to find a grant and write one! Sister Lou loved being on T.V.
