Best Cookie Recipe Ever! REALLY!

When I was working at First Interstate Bank (long time ago, huh) before married days, an old grandma type worked alongside my sister in law and I. She brought the most awesome cookies in ever (these cookies and snickerdoodles) . I was super nice to her and she gave me both recipes.  Now this cookie recipe is probably floating around on the web. These cookies have brought us joy and of course other people joy when we give them some. These cookies are made for sharin'. They will not embarrass your cookie skills.  People will praise you and think you are the BEST baker ever! This recipe puts the Tollhouse cookie recipe to the hall of shame. Enough of bragging, let's get to it!
(this is what they look like after they have been baked) Notice their friends, the rolls! Family is eatin' good tonight!
After we let them cool, we lock them away in a tupperware like dish to keep soft.
Here it is, aaaaahhhh!(P.S. Don't skimp on the pudding...)
2 and 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 small pkg of vanilla instant pudding (I use french vanilla..)
2 eggs
1 pkg (12oz) chocolate chips (I normally use milk chocolate not semi sweet but tonight we did dark chocolate)

Combine butter, the sugars, vanilla, and the pudding. Beat with mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Mix in the flour and baking soda with a spoon. Then stir in the chips.

Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. (makes 4 dozenish).

**Note this recipe is very versatile. You can use  the chocolate puddings with different chips or keep with vanilla pudding and use different chips.  I have done the andes mint chips, reese pb chips. Instead of chocolate chips, you can put in 2 cups of oatmeal with some raisins and have oatmeal raisin chips.

***How about banana chocolate chip cookies.....Use banana cream pudding. 3 very ripe bananas and about 3/4 of the bag. You might have to bake a smidge longer.

IF you try these, please comment and let me know if you did anything different or how it was.
