Home By the Creekside

 Lyndee had an opportunity to practice for their recital next week at a kids' fair today in Idaho falls. I am glad that she had today to work out her kinks. She was too distracted and a couple beats behind. She had a slow start but half way through the first song, she pulled it together. I have video of the song. I can't seem to figure out how to upload it. Anyways, the song and routine is really cute. They dad that routine the December recital. She did better then. I didn't film the second song.

 I would like to interrupt these pictures of  Sunnyside with a picture of me and Lyn. Two weeks ago, I was daring and dyed my hair black/red. I hated it right from the start. It looked great in the shade but once I hit the sunshine. It was red..really red. I felt like Pat Benatar from the 80s. I am trying hard to not and go to a salon. So..today, I removed the hair color with hair color remover and it removed the color from my hair and turned my hair  light red/blonde. I looked like a carrot. No..I didn't take pictures..Then I recovered it with dark brown. So with the dark brown, the red started showing through...But alas..it is better than the Benatar look. My kids love me no matter what just wished I loved my hair the same.

I am not finished putting the ribbon on yet. Here is my little craft. It was inspired from Pinterest. A teacher at school has a husband taking a business class. Their business was this craft. I bought the kit and started putting it together last week. I think it is cute.

 Today was the day. The kids worked really hard. They memorized two pieces of music and then performed them in front of a judge in a small room. Here below...they had an opportunity to give a mini concert on a grand piano and then get a little certificate. So proud of them! They did great. I hope we have many more years to come doing this.

 We had a little Easter egg hunt at my brother's house. Then later in the day, we had Easter dinner at my house and another little Easter egg hunt.  Here is my pride and joy, the yummy dessert. It was lemon sponge pudding. Each person had their own made in an individual custard cup. Looks great, eh? My dad, brother, his wife,and kids decided to have an impromptu snow ball fight with the left over snow. Me..that is a picture take from inside the house away from them.

During our fantabulous spring break, we enjoyed our time immensely. I took them to a park in Rexburg and we had a little picnic. I am going to be sad when the day comes that they will not enjoy it so much. Nonetheless, we had a great time.

 Raspberry Lemonade Smoothies... For family home evening, this was our treat. I stole the recipe from pinterest. 1. Can of frozen lemonade concentrate 2. 1-2 cups of frozen raspberries 3. Ice cubes 4. 1 or 2 cans of water Blend it until smoooooth. Enjoy. ***Review: It is yummy if you do not mind the seeds from the raspberries. Wondering how it would taste with strawberries. :)
