Easter Uploads

Image
On the Friday before Easter, we dyed all of our eggs. Nothing too crazy this year. We enjoyed dying them and it only took us about 10 minutes. I think there are still some in the fridge. Yikes! Better throw those out.  Then on Saturday, we took a little day trip down to Ogden to see Clay's mom. She is the one on the left. His aunt is on the right. His younger duck dynasty wannabe brother is on the left. Hee! Hee!  Mason is their cousin. He is 17. I can't believe how he has grown. The kids just adore him and wish that they could spend more time with him. We went up to Huntsville and had lunch together at the Huntville BBQ restaurant by their park. It was very delicious and it is the best that I have had in a very long time.  On Easter morning, the kids received their baskets with summer outfits and candy. I wanted to do the Jesus baskets but I didn't get my act together.

Snickers or Milky Way Popcorn

Image
For Super Bowl Sunday, I made some Snickers popcorn for a treat and then we made more during the month. You can search for it on Pinterest. I popped 2-3 bags of popcorn so I could have a bunch! Make sure that you take all of the unpopped kernels out because.....well, you know..they are hard on the teeth.  Then I melted 2 cups of milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals. Before I even started melting the chips, I cut up Snickers from the fun size bag. I cut up about 10-15 bars in smaller chunks. Then as soon as the chips were melted, I poured it over the popcorn and then I sprinkled the candy bar chunks on there. Then I mixed it. Then we enjoyed it and then I made some more with Milky Ways. We found that Milky Ways were yummier. :)

and there was basketball somewhere in Jan. and Feb.

This was Brayden's first time playing basketball. He did a great job. At first, it was funny. The first practice the coach said to run down and do a lay up. Well, he just ran to the other side. He didn't know what a lay up was. He learned a lot and was a very good player towards the end and played a lot.  He made a basket in the shot above. These are the only two pictures that I have of him for the whole season.

Back yonder when there was snow and ice.....

Back yonder when there was snow, ice, and cold, Lyndee fell on the ice and split her chin open. I am so grateful that I had a sub that day anyways. I had just taken Brayden to get a tooth pulled and I get a call for me to come and get Lyndee from school because she split her chin and possibly needed some stitches.  Before her stitches..she was so scared and shaken up.  She was so brave.
