Halloween Parade at school

Image
Every year the school has a parade. Lyndee paid tribute to her lost cat, Sunnyside. She loved her costume. I am not a fan of her skirt. I would like to apologize to all she mooned. :) I told her to keep her black part down. So....anyways...it's still cute.  Brayden is a grim reaper dude. His face was hastily painted white and then he smeared black by his eyes. I didn't have a sponge to rub in his face...So...my work of art looks icky. But he didn't care. I will get a better picture of him. He has two more nights of dress. Tuesday the trunk or treat and Wednesday trick or treating... He was happy to be in the parade.     Yup..Can't you tell we have fun too? I think we upset the 5th grade teachers cause we had game time every hour on the hour and we did two on two with mini basketballs. We also ripped our pants off at each other. Kind of hard to keep 120 4th graders quiet. But it made them excited!!!I have to tell it is hard to not be in black and gold a

First Real Snow....

Image
Yup, you guessed it we had our first real snow accumulation this week. It snowed about 4 inches. It was cool! Then it snowed more Friday night during our Halloween carnival. We can park in our garage now so I am pretty cool with it. It didn't stick on the roads nor driveway. The kids loved it. We didn't make any snowmen or anything. Cause the kids need boots...So their outside play lasted not too long.

Birthday Party for Brayden

Image
We decided a week before to go ahead and let Brayden have a party celebrating his last year as a single digiter. Makes me sad that he will be 10 next year but we have got to keep rolling with the punches, I guess. It was a crazy weekend. We had that Friday off due to non stop Parent Teacher conferences on Wed. and Thurs. Weekends are my haven from other children. So....here is the breakdown of Brayden's party. The first thing the kids gobbled down was the pizza and cupcakes. I was hoping that it would take two hours.. Just kidding. We first made slime....Ewww! What kind of boy likes gooey slimy stuff! These do. We made four batches out of 4 bottles of glue. I wished we would have used clear glue but...I couldn't find any at a reasonable price. Then we opened presents. Brayden was a happy boy. This picture here below was the only time they were all sitting without dog piling each other or rough housing. They are such a great bunch and I am so thankful that

R.I.P Beloved Pet

Image
This is Merlin Cole. He was 12 years old. We had him since he was 2 months old. I thought it was so adorable how Lyndee put a crown on him two weeks ago and we took a picture of him sleeping. I would have never thought it would be his last. He was...my pet..my buddy....my best friend..  Yes, he was a dog. I don't care what people think about having pets in homes.  I gave my heart to him. He was the one that would follow me everywhere in the house. He would follow me if I went upstairs for a quick drink, or he would even sit in the bathroom while taking a bubble bath. Sitting in my recliner, he would be right next to me. He was my sleeping pal in the winter. We put him on top of the bed in the winter months so he and Clay and I would be warm. My reason was so it would keep the blankets on the bed because Clayton would be a blanket hog in the middle of the night. :) I can't bear the thought of being without him. He was in almost every picture of Brayden when he was a baby. H

My favorite flower of the season

Image
Last week, I took a picture of a tube flower plant I bought at the local nursery. It was supposed to grow 5 feet tall. It stayed at about 3 but it grew bushy. It died with the freeze the other night. I will get another one next summer. It was a beauty.

State Fair

Image
I am catching up. Life is so slow in the summer but it went by so fast. I am hope that this school year does not go by in the blink of an eye.  Anyways, we went to fair back in September with my brother and his family. Those rides cost too much money. Next time, I am going to see how the fair is in Boise at the Western State Fair.

I am ALIVE

Sorry...I haven't posted. I have been bogged down with school things, home stuff, Lyndee, Brayden, and church....We are healthy as of tonight. We have been through colds and stomach bugs. The kids have started piano. Lyndee is back on with clogging. Brayden still has scouts. Football is almost over and my Saturdays will be mine.
