Just some fun with family

On Thursday, my brother and his little family came up from Arizona to enjoy the fourth with us. How nice of him! Wish that they lived closer...hint! hint! On Friday, we just hung out and let the kids play outside and enjoy their day. Saturday, we went to the Rexburg parade, hung out, and had our own little fireworks show.
Before we were ready for our Sat fireworks, this was our awesome sunset. The two lumps that are houses look like tiny mountains. Gotta love Idaho!

This is our fireworks show for Sat. night. We still have more. We let my brother do this as it is forbidden in Arizona. This way, he can get his pyro fix.

We even went to Fort Hall and got those cool ones that you shoot up into the sky.

That's my brother, we let him light them all.

Nothing like sparklers for the kiddos!

Then Sunday, we skipped church (since we had family in town) and enjoyed a hike up at Cress Creek.

Isn't this beautiful?
This was after the hike. My nephew on the left is giving me the hurry up and take the picture already look.  I am actually used to these types of  looks from the 10 years of teaching kids.

After that, we went home and  bbq'd some hot dogs, and enjoyed each other's company. We felt it was alittle to windy to light up the sky but we will be doing that tonight. That's okay, we will finish them tonight for family home evening.

I'll watch for your show tonight, although I think the wind might ruin it for you again.
