Hawaiian chili
Hawaiian Chili.
(serves 6)
1 14 oz can of pineapple slices
1 pd of ground pork
1 15 oz can of kidney beans
1 16 oz jar of salsa (black bean and corn is the best, man..try mild..if you get medium..it might be a tad too spicy)
8 oz can of tomato sauce (use the basil one)
1 Tablespoon of chili powder
Drain pineapple. Set aside half of the slices and chop the rest. Brown the meat (I used turkey sausage from jenny-o). Pour off any grease. Rinse and drain the beans and add to the meat along with the chopped pineapple, salsa, tomato sauce, and chili powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to med low and simmer 10 minutes. Serve with pineapple slices, sprinkled with some extra chili powder if you want.
